About Us

Our Mission

Angelical Stepping Ground provides services that promote the well being of children and youth by empowering pregnant and parenting individuals to become self-sufficient and responsible household leaders. We do this by encouraging permanent and stable homes for children and their parents, through our child care, vibrant community and partner-provided resources.

Our Story

We, The Myers, began as a home-based program in 2014. Our goal was to resource, build, strengthen and encourage families who faced challenges such as Autism and special needs parenting, hopelessness due to being displaced, hunger, finding trustworthy child care and underemployment.

We knew that we could make a great change in the the lives of many, because of our own personal story. Our son was diagnosed within Autism at an early age. With his diagnosis as a shock to us, we were at a loss. We began to meet with other parents who had similar realities, and participated in playgroups that helped us cope. We learned how to be our son's strongest advocates, and gained confidence that we knew what was best for our child -more than anyone else. We prayed fervently, researched diligently and finally, we found success as a parenting team. As our son grew bigger and stronger, so did our network of hopeful and eager parents of Autistic children. The family transformations we would witness served as divine confirmation that we should dedicate our lives to the work of strengthening families. This is how Angelical Stepping Ground was born!

At Angelical Stepping Ground, we're passionate about helping families succeed. After hours child care means parents can spend daytime with their children and the evening hours working.

Say goodbye to missing your child's IEP Meetings or having to decline playgroups that are essential for your little one's development.

While we are widely known for our non-traditional child care hours, that's not all we do.

We conduct 60-90 Transitional programs for displaced youth, or those aging out of foster care and independent living facilities. We mentor dads through our Fatherhood community, led by strong minded male role models. We're developing a dynamic 90 Day Transitional Program for expecting parents to help them choose life!
